So far most of the bars I have been to in New York have been unlike anything I have ever seen.  They each have their own unique characteristics, they have great music and they are dim, dark or almost pitch black.  The tricky part about writing about the bars and restaurants is that most restaurants have a bar and are considered a "Bar" after a certain time.  I will try to keep to bars, lounges and clubs in this area.
