Brooklyn Botanical Garden

ROSE GARDEN

The first time V and I checked out the Rose Garden it was nothing but green bushes.  I could tell when I walked around and saw hundreds of signs for different types of roses that it would be great when they bloomed.  a bout a month after going to the Botanical Garden V and I both noticed roses blooming around the neighborhood and figured the Rose Garden was probably in bloom as well.  About a week before the Rose Garden Festival / Father's Day we went back to the Botanical Garden.  The weather was perfect and the park wasn't the crowded.  As we got closer to the Rose Garden I could start to smell hints of roses.  When we entered the garden the rose scent was - BAM - like someone squirted my mom's Crabtree & Evelyn rose scented lotion up my nose.  The sensory explosion continued with the visuals.  It was absolutely incredible.  There were thousand of roses all of different shapes and colors.  Here are the pictures.  It really doesn't do the garden justice but its the best I can do.
